Debern's Josh The Joker FDX
November 15th 2002 - February 7th 2015
Josh was my first dog that I bought and cared for on my own. I had big plans for Josh- agility, flyball, obedience and musical freestyle- but he had other ideas. He was the class clown in puppy class and was difficult to hold his focus. Josh was very anxious and extremely noise shy. Agility was too loud and over stimulating for my boy and we never quite mastered a decent down stay- bring out the tennis ball and Josh was done! He loved flyball, it was his 'thing'. We figured it was so noisy he couldn't hyper focus on any one thing and therefore didn't stress about it. Together we managed to get his second title in flyball before he had to be retired due to hip dysplasia (I knew it was coming, he was x-rayed at 2 years old and was told by 5 it would be full blown). Josh taught me alot about dogs, behavior problems, training and most importantly patience! He was an awesome dog, gone but not forgotten.
